Flight of the Conchords (2007 TV series)
Probably just the greatest comedy series ever made nbd.. It’s ridiculous how much they can make you laugh, these Bret and Jemaine. Why oh why are they not touring at the moment nooooo I can’t even omgomg…
One who hasn’t watched this, has not lived. Period.
Prisoners Wives (TV series 2012)
What a hidden little gem! I’m slightly annoyed there are no pictures or trivia or discussion about it on IMDb (since when does this happen?).
I started to watch it because of a BBC Breakfast interview I saw with the main actress and the creator of the show. Yea, I’m quite easily influenced.. Downton Abbey had just finished and this seemed an interesting enough series from a British HD channel.
Anyway the show is only 6 eps long so it doesn’t take much time to go trough. At first I wasn’t that excited about it, but the finale was absolutely brilliant! The way they ended things with each of the characters was so moving and clever, I was blown away. Half of it was heart breaking, the other half inspiring, and soooo well written and acted (especially parts with the rich woman’s house being broken into, and the main girl going to the prison with the baby for the first/last time)
The main girl was such a cutie as well!
A really really great show worth a watch. I wish they made another season (if it wasn’t just a mini-series which I know it is)
The Lying Game (2011 TV series)
The annoying and spoilt little sister of Ringer.. Don’t know why we watched it. I might have liked it when I was 12. But I am not, so I did not.
Yadi yadi yada, twin sisters, one’s adopted by rich people, the other by poor people, they meet up, the poor one takes the place of the rich one and starts fixing her relationships with parents, friends and bf. So yea, just like Ringer.
Can’t watch any more episodes cuz it’s way to retarded. And if kids these days are actually like this then I don’t wanna live on this planet anymore.
Alphas (2011 TV series)
Judging by the pilot, this is incredibly stupid. Especially when watched after something as awesome as Chronicle which also has these kids running around with special powers, so you really can’t help but to compare the two.
So you have six Alphas, people with enhanced senses or strength or whatever, who form a secret crime fighting unit and solve mysterious crimes that the normal police can’t handle. Like when a dude is mysteeeriously killed in a closed interrogation room that has no windows, it takes the girl with special eyesight powers to notice that hey, there’s a chip in the ventilation cover which looks like a scratch from a bullet and hey when we trace the direction of the bullet, we obviously find a shell that the shooter left behind.. Cuz you know the police doesn’t have special eyesight powers.. Well probably they were meant to find these things but still.. Ughhhh so retarded.
Incredibly cheesy and predictable and above all else stupid. So no thanks.
Touch (2012 TV series)
The trailer seemed mildly interesting. Only that the pilot wasn’t. So yea, everything’s connected and everybody influences everybody’s lives. And now Kiefer Sutherland has to save some dudes from some bad shit with the help of his son and the social worker. There is nothing original about it in any way (yet? But the pilot would have been a good place to start, the makers of Heroes!) and the storyline was far-fetched and unbelievable even for a tv series. Nothing actually made sense at all. I have absolutely zero interest in it and I don’t think this will change. Will probably watch another episode but after that I can’t be bothered.
Oh and it annoyed the hell out of me that in the trailer the boy says he’s “10 years and blabla days old” and in the episode it was changed to “11 years” which is just poor writing or production or whatever the hell went wrong in the first place.
Homeland (2011 TV series)
Oh my god! My second favourite series this season since American Horror Story!
After the first ep we thought that Oooh they shouldn’t have given away that much, but actually every single episode just keeps making everything more and more intriguing! We still have 4 to go, but working tomorrow open/mid, so shouldn’t really watch them tonight..
Claire Danes is awesome and so is the rest of the cast. The story is so well written it’s ridiculous. Recommend it a million times.
Luck (2011 TV series)
My first instinct would guess this is boring and not worth while. Horse racing? Gambling? What’s so good about that?
But actually this might be one of the best things I’ve seen lately. It has about ALL the stars in it, you don’t know what’s coming and you can’t wait for the next episode. Plus it’s crazy how the actual races are filmed. 🐎
So I’m really hoping next episodes won’t be a letdown.
Grimm (2011 TV series)
Younger brother of Once Upon A Time? Cuz now it’s time to remake ALL children’s fairytales with a modern twist? Like it was fashionable to make everything with vampires? Or ancient Roman/Greek?
Didn’t like it, didn’t really care. Predictable and quite stupid.
