The new tv game show that is.
Overall it’s quite dumb because you don’t really have to do or know much to win great sums of money..
BUT! Yesterday’s finale was so great showing how greed and manipulation will fuck you over in the end and you get absolutely nothing for trying to be a sleazy little cunt.
You have two people in the very end who have answered most questions right, taken risks, made the right decisions or just got lucky, three other contestants who have lost in the previous rounds are just standing aside watching. The total prize money for last week was about £400.000.
Now the two people have two briefcases each: one with CASH and one with TRASH. They face each other and have to hand the other person one of their briefcases. If both hand in the one with CASH, they both win and split the prize money 50-50. If one hands the other one TRASH but receives CASH, he wins the whole lot and the other one gets nothing. However if both of them hand TRASH to the other person, neither will win anything and the prize money goes to the finalists who lost in the previous rounds. The two people can also talk to each other before the swap.
And fuck, it was brilliant how it went down. One of the guys last night was calm and reserved, the other one almost crying and begging the other one to hand in his CASH briefcase because half of the money would be good enough for him. Of course the first guy thought that it’s certain the sobbing guy would give him his money and the sobbing guy thought his Oscar-worthy act had worked, so they both chose to give the other one TRASH because they thought they both were oh so very clever. And then they lost. Haha absolutely genius! The money went to the other finalists and the two guys looked liked they had just been raped in the ass. Oh television, you cruel bastard! But what a great social experiment - can you trust a stranger/competitor enough to work towards a common goal or will you try to trick them or will they try trick you.
As amusing as it was, don’t think we’ll be watching this again though. The host is incompetent and the whole show is not that interesting.
