So unpretentious and fun haha! No Oscar film but you know it beforehand and it gives you exactly what it promises.
The plot was simple, with their silly little twists and shock moments. So completely predictable and well you knew the film just by watching the trailer. And the ending was ridiculously merry, it made me laugh which I guess is a good thing. Such a everything went better than expected ending that makes you wanna throw up from all the sugar coating but you can’t be mad at it.
It’s short as well (5 reels) which is good when you watch it but will piss me off when I have to lace that screen up 7 times per day (as opposed to 3 showings of GWTDT last week in one screen).
Yes, good entertainment, time well spent (and jamie bell and his gf are cute as buttons!)
Some dick-face cunt motherfucker has just stolen my scooter
It was between 4-9pm.
It was taken from our freaking front door whilst we were at home watching Boardwalk Empire.
What the fucking shit?!?
So yea if anyone sees a cute light blue retro scooter being driven by a dick, that’s probably my stolen bike.
I hope they drive it under a fucking train, lose their limbs and fuckkng live their cunty little lives as cripples for at least 70 years. With speech fucking impairment.
Aaaaargghhhhh… So now the fair city of Bham has taken from me 2 bicycles and one scooter. Thank you very fucking much!
How can a grown up and reasonable person say “I don’t believe in evolution”??! It’s like saying “i don’t believe in Napoleon or the Roman Empire” etc imho. How can you discuss anything further if they laugh at you saying “haha well you think that we all came from monkeys anyway”??… Ugggghhhh.. Soooo frustrating! They also claim that whilst white people might have developed from monkeys, the black people definitely didn’t cuz apparently pyramids and Iran and whatever have clear proof and evidence to support this theory. Well, fact in their opinion. Everything else is some crazy hoolabaloo that the scientist are taking from thin air, you know like fossils and genetics..
I don’t get it, I really don’t. I don’t understand what they were missing in childhood or school or somewhere in their lives. Funnily this never happened to me in Estonia but only in the UK. I guess more people, greater chance they’ll be some loonies oh well
At first I didn’t really get into it because of the slow start but it got really interesting in the end. Very thought provocative, beautiful and tragic at the same time. I wish they had answered more questions though.
Tilda Swinton love! John C Reilly seemed a bit of a weird choice but oh well, I got used to it. The little girl was a cutie and Kevin was excellently psychopathic.
May also work as birth control! Hah
At first glance an “original” hipster romance but actually it made me want to rip the fucking print apart.
So all the freaking drama came from the girl’s incredibly sneaky and brilliant idea of “hey wait fuck the immigration rules of the united states of America, I wanna stay and run around the beach with my bf!”. And she’s supposed to be majoring in journalism. How can anyone major in anything thinking that the visa regulations of the 21st century USA are nothing more than guidelines or suggestions?! So shes forced back into the UK and he stays in LA. Oh and then the film goes on to show how these two graduates (the boy majoring in “furniture design”??) just happen to stumble upon these awesome careers out of the blue with no apparent work or effort put into it?? Wait! This happens in real world?? When?? Oh and then they make up and break up about a dozen times and get married but still during the breaks lead completely different lives with different people and appear to be happy and all that but no! For some incomprehensible reason they still find the desire to end up moving in together and be all miserable about it.
As sweet as Felicity Jones was, she looked like she had jumped out of an Urban Outfitters catalogue and that kinda makes my head explode from all the hipsterness. So in the end she was as annoying as the boy. I did like Jennifer Lawrence but she was there for a few minutes only.
Oh and furthermore! The dialogue was mostly freaking improvised! The fuck?! It fuckkg showed! Because it was so retarded! Not sure but I think one line spoken by “the other bf” was actually “meeh”. Can you at least put some work into this?? I don’t know why but it really pissed me off..
Rant rant rant..
Piece of crap hipster vomit with nothing intelligent to say or offer. I hope it didn’t turn me off from Blue Valentine because everybody keeps comparing it to that..
Oh yea and I was already negative about this film because of the asshole paramount marketing guy who came on Monday and demanded we display this piece of shit poster. Fucking change the release date and stick a “coming soon” over “february 2” and make it look horrible in the poster case..
I just had a lot of emotions to release kthnxbai
“I watched Underworld 4 the other day and you know what, it was actually decent. It was definitely better than Twilight. You know cuz they have kind-of the same topic with werewolves and vampires..”—Marlon, my sweet friend.. Cuz if you’d compare Underworld with anything, it would be Twilight. And that’s saying a lot if something’s better than Twilight. Perspectives, man, perspectives…
I thought that this would be terrible but we had either this or Monster in Paris 35mm to screen and I guess i will watch the latter in 3D eventually.
To be honest I thought it was really clever for a horror film. *SPOILERS* That the main idea was that there are no monsters or ghosts or evil spirits lurking around the dark corners of the house, it all just comes from imagination, children’s crazyass big imagination, and in the end it’s the thoughts that alter the physical well-being of the individual and others around them. .. Or I guess that’s what the film was about?.. Hmmmm.. Well anyway, I loved the idea that there was no bogeyman and spiritual crap around it. And of course much Clive Owen love 💜💙💚
Oh my god! My second favourite series this season since American Horror Story!
After the first ep we thought that Oooh they shouldn’t have given away that much, but actually every single episode just keeps making everything more and more intriguing! We still have 4 to go, but working tomorrow open/mid, so shouldn’t really watch them tonight..
Claire Danes is awesome and so is the rest of the cast. The story is so well written it’s ridiculous. Recommend it a million times.
Loved it so much! Gina Carano was sooo amazing and kick-ass whoop whoop pow woooshhh!!..
It was interesting and clever, the fighting was awesome sauce, the music original and then all the actors!
Great way how to spend a Sat night late close.
My first instinct would guess this is boring and not worth while. Horse racing? Gambling? What’s so good about that?
But actually this might be one of the best things I’ve seen lately. It has about ALL the stars in it, you don’t know what’s coming and you can’t wait for the next episode. Plus it’s crazy how the actual races are filmed. 🐎
So I’m really hoping next episodes won’t be a letdown.
Younger brother of Once Upon A Time? Cuz now it’s time to remake ALL children’s fairytales with a modern twist? Like it was fashionable to make everything with vampires? Or ancient Roman/Greek?
Didn’t like it, didn’t really care. Predictable and quite stupid.
So this mentally unstable girl really feels like her life relates to “the greatest love story of the 20th century”, only that it doesn’t and it isn’t. One thing I learnt was to never name your children after your idols cuz they might just end up batshit crazy.
The most amusing thing about this film is that we weren’t supposed to get it in the first place. But then the studio really pushed it (and I quote “it offers something to the audience who aren’t being catered for at the moment”) and we gave it a small screen. Turns out this audience doesn’t give a shit. Yesterday when it opened, half of the screening were empty.
Hah, madonna, this is no King’s Speech ok I can understand you’re obsessed with the UK and everything but lol no you look silly go watch Guy Richie’s films instead they are awesome!!
The idea of it is so clever and brilliant but so far I think the execution is quite weak. It’s been only 2 episodes but still. There could be so much mystery and suspense around the characters who keep coming back from the past but instead they kinda rush with all the action and killings and all that jazz. And the main girl is annoying. And Sam Neill’s (Sam Neill in Space!) character who I guess is supposed to be this all-powerful badass detective who no one can touch, is really a bit of a girly-pants..
Ok, I guess because of J. J. Abrams we will keep watching it but at the moment I get a very Ringer-like vibe from it.
It might be very uncultured and uneducated of me to say this but oh my god how painful this was. Really really painful.. It just wasn’t for me. The Shakespearean dialogue was too difficult to follow and my mind kept wandering off to all sorts of random things. I only gathered as much as I read from the imdb plot summary and even that was confusing.
Sorry. I’m just not that high class I guess..
Soooo… I’m embarrassed to admit we watched about 10 minutes of it.
BUT I DIDN’T KNOW I SWEAR I DIDN’T KNOW!!
Turns out Rob is a comedy tv series starring Rob Schneider. The most retarded thing I’ve ever seen. It makes Jersey Shore look educational and clever. Uggghhh… Yes, luckily we stopped 10 minutes in and my brain isn’t mashed potato now, yay!
Seemed like House MD with lawyers. But the script wasn’t that good.. Everything was a bit too random and happening too quickly and too simplified. I dunno, it might turn out to be good, only watched one episode.
Hah just in time before the Globes. Missing The Artist and The Descendants from the main films now.
Moneyball was as good as they made it out to be. But I really dislike Jonah Hill. Like really really dislike him. Ugh.
Didn’t really expect much but I didn’t have anything to do at work (read: was hungover and lazy) and that screen finished early.
Liked it a lot. Some jokes were clever, some really clever and the 3D was cool.
Pretty stupid and the characters were all annoying so you kinda wanted them to be blown to ashes. But I liked the mix or Russia + America and the special effects were cool. I found the 3D a bit pointless though, didn’t really see it that much. On a positive side: it was really short.
Yes, Spielberg is this film god who can do no wrong..
But my opinion is that this was rubbish.. Beautiful and epic of course, but always cheesy and often ridiculous. I’m not a fan of war movies anyway but I was bored and annoyed at the clichés pretty much all the way through. Don’t even know how many times we were asking why those characters were doing what they were doing and what was going on.
Just because it’s Spielberg, isn’t gonna make me love it.. Yea, very unpopular opinion but I stand by it.
